This Agreement governs all contributions made to projects owned, maintained, or operated by Lyra Social Group LLC ("Lyra Social Group", "LSG", "we", "our", or "us").

By submitting code, documentation, artwork, media, translations, configurations, bug reports, feature requests, pull requests, or other contributions to any Lyra Social Group project, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.

1. Scope

This Agreement applies to contributions made to:

  • Git repositories
  • Discord bot projects
  • Websites
  • APIs
  • Documentation
  • Graphics and artwork
  • Audio and music
  • Video content
  • VRChat assets
  • Configuration files
  • Internal tooling
  • Community resources
  • Any future Lyra Social Group project

Contributions may be submitted through Git, GitHub, Discord, email, support systems, or any other approved submission method.

2. Ownership of Contributions

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • You retain copyright ownership of your original work.
  • You remain responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to submit your contribution.

3. License Grant

By contributing, you grant Lyra Social Group LLC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license to:

  • Use
  • Copy
  • Modify
  • Merge
  • Publish
  • Translate
  • Distribute
  • Display
  • Perform
  • Adapt
  • Re-license where permitted
  • Incorporate your contribution into existing or future projects

This license exists solely to allow Lyra Social Group to develop, maintain, distribute, and operate its services.

4. Your Representations

By submitting a contribution, you represent that:

  • The contribution is your own original work, or
  • You have sufficient legal rights to submit it.

You further represent that your contribution does not knowingly violate:

  • Copyright
  • Trademark
  • Patent
  • Trade secret
  • Privacy rights
  • Contractual obligations
  • Applicable law

5. Third-Party Materials

If your contribution includes third-party materials, you must:

  • Identify the original source.
  • Comply with all applicable licenses.
  • Preserve required copyright notices.
  • Preserve license headers where required.

You may not submit proprietary material that you do not have permission to distribute.

6. AI-Generated Contributions

AI-assisted contributions are permitted unless a project specifies otherwise.

If a substantial portion of a contribution was generated using AI tools, contributors should disclose this within the pull request or submission notes.

Contributors remain fully responsible for:

  • Accuracy
  • Copyright compliance
  • Security
  • Licensing compatibility
  • Overall quality

Submitting AI-generated content does not transfer responsibility to Lyra Social Group.

7. Code Quality

Contributors should make reasonable efforts to ensure submissions:

  • Build successfully.
  • Follow project conventions.
  • Do not intentionally introduce security vulnerabilities.
  • Do not intentionally reduce system stability.
  • Include documentation where appropriate.
  • Include tests where practical.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

8. Security

If you discover a security vulnerability, you agree to report it privately through the designated security contact rather than publicly disclosing it before a fix is available.

Responsible disclosure helps protect community members and infrastructure.

9. Code Review

All contributions are subject to review.

Lyra Social Group may:

  • Request revisions.
  • Reject submissions.
  • Modify contributions.
  • Rewrite portions of submissions.
  • Revert accepted contributions.
  • Remove contributions from future releases.

Acceptance into a repository does not guarantee permanent inclusion.

10. No Compensation

Unless a separate written agreement exists:

  • Contributions are voluntary.
  • Contributors are not employees.
  • Contributors are not contractors.
  • Contributors are not entitled to compensation, royalties, revenue sharing, equity, or future employment.

11. Attribution

Where practical, contributor attribution will generally be maintained through:

  • Git commit history
  • Repository history
  • Contributor listings
  • Release notes

Lyra Social Group is not obligated to publicly credit every contribution.

12. Moral Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, contributors agree not to assert moral rights in a manner that would prevent Lyra Social Group from:

  • Maintaining projects.
  • Refactoring code.
  • Editing documentation.
  • Modifying artwork.
  • Updating assets.
  • Discontinuing projects.

13. Removal Requests

Because contributions may become integrated into larger works, Lyra Social Group cannot guarantee that accepted contributions can later be removed.

Requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

14. Termination

This Agreement remains effective for contributions already submitted.

Ending your participation in a project does not revoke licenses previously granted under this Agreement.

15. Changes to this Agreement

Lyra Social Group may update this Agreement periodically.

Future contributions will be governed by the version of this Agreement in effect when they are submitted unless otherwise stated.
