Creator Guidelines

1. Scope & Purpose

These Creator Guidelines establish expectations and operational rules for content creators, streamers, artists, and community influencers operating within Lyra Social Group digital hubs, VRChat instances, and media platforms. We aim to support creators while protecting community privacy and brand integrity.

2. Content Creation, Streaming & Recording

A. Broadcast Standards

  • Community Alignment: Content recorded or broadcast live within official community spaces, VRChat instances, or voice channels must adhere to our core Community Guidelines (community/guidelines.md). Broadcasting explicit hate speech, harassment, or non-consensual graphic content while representing or occupying community spaces is strictly prohibited.
  • Privacy Controls: Creators must take reasonable precautions to avoid displaying private staff logs, moderation tickets, user support discussions, or non-public personal information on stream or in uploaded video content.
  • In-Game Overlay Management: When streaming inside public or semi-private community channels, creators should configure stream overlays (e.g., chat logs, notification popups) to prevent leaking private or sensitive communications.

B. On-Air Disruption & Collaboration

  • Stream Sniping & Harassment: Stream sniping, intentional lobby crashing, or targeted harassment of featured creators or event hosts will result in immediate removal and permanent account blacklisting across all Lyra Social Group spaces.
  • Co-Streaming & Branding: Creators officially affiliated with or co-hosting events alongside Lyra Social Group must coordinate with the Events Team prior to using official branding, overlay assets, or logos in their broadcasts.

3. Self-Promotion & Advertising

A. Designated Promotion Spaces

  • Channel Restrictions: Promotion of personal social media channels, Twitch/YouTube streams, Patreon accounts, personal stores, or creative portfolios is strictly confined to explicitly marked self-promotion channels (e.g., #self-promotion or #creator-showcase).
  • Cross-Posting & Spam: Unsolicited promotional messaging, multi-channel spamming, or mass DM advertising to community members is strictly forbidden.

B. Commercial & Asset Promotion

  • Art & Avatar Commissions: Artists, 3D modellers, and avatar creators sharing promotional material or accepting commissions must ensure their work complies with copyright, intellectual property standards, and platform-specific licensing terms (e.g., VRChat SDK terms).
  • Affiliate & Referral Links: Unauthorized commercial affiliate links, crypto/NFT marketing, or multi-level schemes are not permitted under any circumstances.

4. Enforcement & Compliance

Violations of this policy may lead to the removal of creator roles, deletion of promotional media, revocation of event stream access, or further disciplinary action as outlined in our community/moderation.md framework.
